Chapter 25

I. The latter life of Abraham. Verses 1-11

I. The Patriarchal blessing from Isaac. Verses 1-46

A. The proposal of this blessing. Verses 1-17 1. Isaac wanted to bless Isaac. Verses 1-4 2. Rebecca wanted Isaac to bless Jacob. Verses 5-17 3. Jacob was to receive the blessing instead of Esau. These were the reasons for his marriages. Verses 21-30 1. Laban gave Leach his oldest daughter to Jacob for a wife. Verses 21-25 2. Laban also gave Rachel his youngest daughter to Jacob for a wife.
